Open the Discord app. This looks like Discord's mascot, Wumpus, with a blue-purple background. If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now.

Navigate to a server or Direct Message. Tap a server icon from the left panel, or tap a recent Direct Message to open it.
- If you don't see your messages, tap Home at the bottom-left corner.

Tap +. It’s at the bottom-left corner of the chat field.[1]
- If this is the first time you're sending an image in Discord, you may be prompted to give permission before you can continue. Tap Grant Permission if prompted, then tap Allow.

Select an image from the gallery. You'll see your recent photos at the bottom. If you don't see the image in your recents, drag the menu upwards to expand it, and then tap All Albums to browse your device.
- If you prefer to take a photo and send it to your friend, tap the camera icon at the top-left corner of the gallery to launch the camera, then snap your photo.
- Images must be 25 MB or smaller. If you have Discord Nitro, you'll have a higher upload limit.

Add a spoiler tag or modification (optional). If the image has content that others may not want to see or may need a warning, tap the image preview in the chat field. Then, tap Mark as spoiler.
- To add alt text, tap Image Description and enter your text. Tap Save when you're finished.

Tap the send icon. It’s the round blue icon with a white paper airplane. The image will be sent to the recipient.
- If you want to delete the image, long-press the message, and then tap Delete Message. Tap Yes to confirm.
