This wikiHow guide will teach you how to remove the censor grid that covers your Sims when they're naked. By default, your Sims' naked body parts are blurred out with a mosaic pattern that covers their breasts and genitals. If you want to uncensor these parts in the Sims 4, Sims 3, or Sims 2, you'll need to install a mod. In the original game, there's a cheat code you can use.

Uncensor the Sims 4: Quick Steps

1. Download the WickedWhims mod from wickedwhimsmod.com/download.
2. Open the ZIP file.
3. Open File Explorer or Finder to the Sims 4 "mods" folder.
4. Move the "WickedWhimsMod" folder from the ZIP into the Sims 4 mods folder.
5. Enable custom content and script mods in ••• > Game Options > Other.
6. Restart the game.

   Download the WickedWhims mod. The WickedWhims mod will unblur the censored parts of your Sims' bodies, as well as add other adult-friendly/nudity-friendly features to the game. To download the mod, go to wickedwhimsmod.com/download, click one of the links under "Download from…", and follow the instructions to download the ZIP file.

   • You'll also need to enter your age to prove you are 18 or older.
   • If you have the WonderfulWhims mod installed, you will need to remove it, as it conflicts with WickedWhims.
   • If the Sims 4 is currently running, close it before you continue with this method.

   Open the ZIP file. This displays the contents of the file, including the WickedWhimsMod folder and some other files.

   • If you're using a Mac, double-click the file to unzip it. Then, double-click the extracted folder to open it.

   Open the Sims 4 "mods" folder on your computer. You'll do so in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac). Here's how:

   • On a Windows PC, open File Explorer by pressing Windows key + E, then navigate to This PC > drive letter (e.g., C:) > Users > yourusername > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.
   • On a Mac, open Finder and navigate to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.

   Move the mod into the mods folder. To do this, go back to the extracted folder, then drag the folder called "WickedWhimsMod" into the "Mods" folder in File Explorer or Finder.

   • You can also right-click or control-click the "WickedWhimsMod" folder and select Copy, then open the Sims 4 Mods folder, right-click or control-click an empty area, and select Paste.

   Enable mods in-game if needed. In The Sims 4, mods are not enabled by default. You can enable mods in the Options menu. You will need to do this every time the game updates. Here's how to enable mods in The Sims 4:

   • Open The Sims 4.
   • Open the menu and select Game Options.
   • Click Other in the Options menu.
   • Check the boxes next to "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed."
   • Click Apply Changes.
   • Close and restart The Sims 4.

   Start up your game. If you've installed the mod correctly, your Sims should no longer be covered by a mosaic when they're nude.

   Make sure your mod framework is set up. If you don't have a "Resource.cfg" file in your Mods folder, no mods will work. You can find the framework for mod installation at Mod The Sims, here. Simply unzip the FrameworkSetup file and place the newly-generated Mods folder (as well as its contents) into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.

   Navigate to hnraas.net/community/Decensor in a web browser. You can use any web browser on PC or Mac.

   • Mods do not work on game console versions of The Sims 3.

   Click Version 14. This downloads the mod file for the latest version of The Sims 3.

   • If you receive a "Network Error" message when you click on "Version 14", click on the green button that says Download for patch 1.67/69/70 instead.

   Unzip the file. The file will be a .package file and will be named "NRaas_Decensor_VR.zip". You can unzip the file without installing any software.

   • Use the following steps to extract the contents of the zip file:
     • On Windows, right-click the .zip file and select Extract All.
     • On Mac, double-click the .zip file, and it should automatically extract itself.

   Drop the file into the Sims 3 mods folder. The Sims 3 mods folder is located in the following location: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Packages.

   Start up your game. If you installed the mod correctly, your Sims should no longer be covered by a mosaic when they're nude. (You can then use the NRaas in-game menu to enable or disable the mosaic depending on when you want it to be active).

   Go to simfil.es/140339/ in a web browser. This is the web page for Quaxi's No Censor Blur mod.

   • If Sim File Share is down, download it.
   • The file can be used if you have Pets or newer expansions.
   • If you’re just getting started with The Sims 2, check out how to create a Sim. You can also install custom Sims in the Sims 2.

   Click Download. It's the blue button at the top of the page, and it will turn green after you click it. This downloads the mod package file.

   Drop the file into the Sims 2 mods folder. Right-click the downloaded package file and copy or cut it, then paste it in the following location: Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Downloads.

   • If you don't have a Downloads folder in your game folder, make one. Simply right-click or control-click a blank space in your game folder and create a new folder called "Downloads".

   Launch your game. If you installed it correctly, your Sims should no longer be censored when they're nude.

   Type in move_objects on and press ↵ Enter. Enter this cheat code into the command prompt so you can freely move Sims.

   Click and drag to move a Sim when they don’t have clothes on. If you move a Sim while they’re in the bath, shower, or love bed, the censor blur will stay in the same place. The Sim will be clothed when the activity ends.
