If you’re here, you’ve probably seen TikTokers calling each "Dada Man" and talking to each other like babies, but why are they doing it? Where did it come from? It’s basically just a way to tease your friends by putting on a baby voice, but we’ll tell you more about what it means, who started it, and how to do it yourself.

Dada Man Explanation

"Dada Man" is a TikTok trend where users talk in a baby voice and call each other "Dada Man" to get on their nerves. It was started by TikTok users and brothers risky2funny and ItsMoneyy in videos where risky2funny teases his brother, who often reacts in a funny, irritated way.

What does "Dada Man" mean?

  1. "Dada" is how young kids or babies tend to say "dad" or "daddy," and people sometimes respond by calling them "Dada Man." Recently, users on TikTok have started posting videos of themselves calling their friends and family "Dada Man," talking to them like they’re babies as a joke to get on their nerves and get a reaction.[1] It’s a silly way to tease someone by acting like they’re a child, and it’s most popular in Black TikTok communities.
    • Example: "Oh, Dada Man gonna eat-eat his chicken nuggies?"
    • Example: "Poor Dada Man is getting mad-mad at being called Dada Man."

  1. The users are brothers who often tease and make fun of each other on their TikTok pages. On September 1, 2025, @risky2funny posted a TikTok video of himself waking up @ItsMoneyy by poking him and saying, "Hey Dada Man!" as though @ItsMoneyy were a baby. @risky2funny began posting similar videos, the videos gained traction, and the trend began spreading across TikTok.
    • Other videos show @risky2funny poking fun at @ItsMoneyy while he eats, and other friends. Many of them involve the target of the teasing lashing out or reacting, which @risky2money explains in another video is all for fun.
    • @risky2money explains in the same video that baby talk like this isn’t "a skit," but "just playing with my brother," and that "baby talk has been around Black culture for all our lives."
    • Other users’ videos involving "Dada Man" jokes have gotten popular, like a video of user @mula getting called "Dada Man" on the street, or a compilation video of a university student getting called "Dada Man" in the food court.
    • "Dada Man" is also a character in skits by Burn Poe Entertainment on YouTube, dating back to 2023. Here, it’s used to add humor to a young character, but not in the teasing, practical joke way @risky2funny uses it in.

Using "Dada Man"

  1. There’s nothing to it; you may have already jokingly baby-talked your friends before. So next time you want to rile their nerves, just call them "Dada Man," lay on the baby speak, and start praising them like they’re a little kid who just did something for the first time. Just be sure to ease up if you really hit a nerve.
    • Example: "Dada Man did so good at school today! Dada Man gets a sticker!"
    • Example: "Woah there, Dada Man, that’s not nice! No name-calling! Go to your room!"
